MEMC Electronic Materials INC (MEMC) Constructing Solar Wafer manufacturing plant at Samajaya Free Industrial Zone. The project is to cater for the popular demands of solar cells around the global. Sarawak was selected as the investment location because Sarawak has the competitive advantages, political stability, and conducive living environment, young and trainable workforce apart from good basic infrastructure. The project would benefit the state by generating 4,000 employment opportunities here. This is in tandem with efforts of developing Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) as the main hub for energy-intensive industries, while making Kuching the high-technology centre for downstream industries. The solar project signifies efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. Solar industry has the potential to create spin-off benefits for the state’s economy. PCSS Project consultant were engaged by Sara Timur to perform project planning, scheduling and controlling and liaise up closely with MEMC PMC – CH2M Hills for any project control related matters. MEMC Solar Kuching Manufacturing Plant Construction Project is required to be completed in 3 months period. The critical planning is essential to ensure the project is to be completed successfully.
